Power supply is mostly based on getting electricity from public power plants and energy systems - ie, centralized power supply, on their remoteness, lower cost on-site electricity or the like, on the local consumer power supplies - ie, autonomous power supply.
Power installations are concidered electricity networks and the external power supply system of the building or facility, also artificial lighting, some alarm systems and technical rescue systems, which are working in the 230/400V voltage range (lightning protection, smoke control).
Low voltage installations
Low voltage installation is the common name of a functioning electric utility systems that are not meant for energy transfer, but the implementation of the necessary functions of facility, building or a specific action in the building. For example: communication and computer network, the transmission of television signals, coded locks, access control systems, technical security systems, fire alarm systems, etc.
Automation is normally a combination of HVAC (heating, ventilation, water supply, cooling, security, lighting) controllers (sensors, actuators, dimmers), that is needed to operate the building, which have sometimes other integrated functions that are necessary for the operation of the building. Such systems can be stand-alone (for example, a separate light controls and a separate heating system automation), or the so-called "smart house" solution, connected together, or even simpler all-in-one solutions (KNX / EIB).
The substation is part of the power grid, which is located on the territory and essentially includes the ends of transmission lines and distribution lines, switching- and control gear, transformers, and buildings. Protection and control equipment (for example, relay protection) is usually also located in the substation.
External network is a strong current installation, that begins after your connection point. An external power grid has to be rebuilt when the location of the junction cabinet is changing, or when you need relocation of the external network air line or replace it by the cable line. It may be necessary during the demolition of an older house and building a new one, if the main fuse with the meter are inside the old house.

According to the Electrical Safety Act, § 11, a new or reconstructed electrical installation must have the certificate of conformity. This certificate is required to be sure that the electrical installation is safe and the installer has performed his work correctly. In addition, also to obtain the electricity consumption permit from Eesti Energia and in case of an insurance claim has arisen in the location of the electrical installation.
